Indonesian coal price is increasing from August 2013 until December 2013. Indonesia coal price is based on quality, CV : 6322 kcal/kg (GAR), TM : 8 %, TS : 0.8 %, Ash : 15 % ar.
December 2013, Indonesian coal price reaches 80.31 $/ton (FOB vessel). It is increasing from 76.70 in August 2013. Totally coal price has increased 3.61 $/ton or 4.7 %.
How about next month, there is indication, coal price will increase. Bad weather in Indonesian especially in Borneo, it will impact to coal production. Mostly coal is produced from Borneo, PT. Kaltim Prima Coal, Arutmin, Adaro, Berau, ITM and other coal mining company.
How significant the impact ?
If we see trendline from October 2013 until December 2013, it can reach 2%. So if we take a save number 1%, it means coal price in january 2014 can touch 81.11 $/ton or still above 80 $/ton.
This trendline will be a good price for mining company after almost 1 years has lost gain from coal price. Let see, where is coal price will flow next month.
